Beef Jerked Kabobs

  • 2 pounds blade, sirloin or rump steak, cut into 2 inch cubes

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons thyme

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar

  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce

  • 1 1/2 teaspoon coriander

  • 1 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon pepper


  • Mix all ingredients, except steak into a blender and process until well blended. Pour into a shallow or non metallic dish or plastic food bag to marinade.

    Add steak, stirring or shaking until well coated. Cover and marinade for 2 hours or longer. Thread steak onto skewers and cook over medium-high heat for 6-8 minutes turning occasionally until no longer pink. Serves 6.
